Below are some great hair treatment recipes for all different hair types to boost your hair’s natural beauty.

Natural recipes for dry and frizzy or curly hair

Olive Oil Honey and Rosemary Hair Conditioner DRY:

Ingredients: 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup warmed olive oil, 4 drops essential oil of rosemary , 1 teaspoon of Xanthan gum, commonly used as a food thickening agent (baking section of all supermarkets);

Method: Place all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix thoroughly. Apply a small amount to your slightly dampened hair. Massage your scalp and work the conditioner through your hair until it is completely and evenly distributed. Cover your hair with a warm towel or shower cap; leave the conditioner in place on to nourish and condition for 30 minutes. Remove the towel or shower cap; shampoo lightly and rinse with cool water. Dry as normal and enjoy shinier, softer and healthier hair the natural way. The honey in this recipe is for shine and olive oil for moisture. The treatment is enhanced with essential oil of rosemary to stimulate hair growth.

Milk & Honey Hair Smoothie:

Ingredients: 1 can of pure coconut milk , 1 ripe avocado, 2 tablespoons of pure honey or 4  tablespoons of pure honey (for extra shine), 2 tablespoons of olive oil or 3 tablespoons for extra dry hair;

Method: Add ingredients to blender.  Mix at high speed until your concoction reaches a smoothie consistency. Generously apply evenly to hair, from root to ends concentrating on ends…as they are the most prone to frizz. Leave on hair for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse and see the results!

Natural recipes for thinning or fine hair or hair loss

Beer Rinse:

Ingredients: 1 oz distilled or clean catch rain water, 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar, 7 drops lemon essential oil, 1 ounce beer, 5 drops rosemary essential oil (please do not use this ingredient if you are pregnant), 5 drops calendula essential oil (good for blonde hair but can be used for any hair colour);

Method: Mix all ingredients together. After shampooing your hair use mixture as a final rinse, rinse mixture well with water. The beer will adds protein to make hair shiny and make it feel thicker.

Hair Loss Emu Oil Recipe: Ingredients:

Emu Oil;

Method: Heat Emu Oil until very warm. Rub into your scalp covering all areas completely. Leave on your scalp for 10 to 20 minutes. Shampoo your hair while still dry. Rinse your hair. Shampoo and rinse a second time. Emu Oil hair loss treatments nourish the tissue of the scalp promoting cell regeneration and waking up inactive hair follicles. As a result the hair begins to grow again. Some studies have shown that Emu Oil can rejuvenate the scalp skin tissue and produce as much as 80% hair growth. Also consider taking a  supplement AA plus with Biotin.

Garlic based hair loss remedy:

Ingredients:1 tablespoon of aloe gel, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of garlic juice, 2 egg yolks, 3 tablespoons of chamomile (tea bag content is fine to use), 24 fluid oz of water;

Method: Squeeze juice out of garlic using a garlic press and mix it with honey and place the bowl in the fridge. Boil water with chamomile tea for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Next take the bowl with honey and garlic juice out of the fridge and stir in an egg yolk. Add Aloe Vera gel to the mix;

Method: Use the mix and gently rub it in your scalp. When you run out of the paste, wrap a towel around your head. Keep on your head for 20 minutes and wash once with a neutral shampoo. Rub in the second egg yolk and wash off using only warm water. To finish off, wash your hair off with the previously prepared chamomile tea. Use this mix once a week. Natural recipes for coloured or damaged hair

Cucumber Rinse:

Ingredients: 1 egg, 1 half-eggshell’s worth of olive oil  (i.e., one portion of the eggshell you broke apart), 1 quarter of a peeled cucumber;

Method: Blend the egg, olive oil and  peeled cucumber in a blender or food processor until smooth. Spread evenly through your hair, leave on for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly. This treatment can be used monthly for best results.

Avocado hair moisturizer:

Ingredients: 1/2 of peeled and mashed avocado, 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 3-4 drops of vitamin E oil;

Method: Add 3-4 drops of Vitamin E to avocado and mayonnaise and either use a blander to combine or mash with a fork. Apply on hair and put a shower cap on. Keep on for 20 or so minutes and wash the hair as you usually would. You can also just use this recipe and apply it to frizzy and damaged ends only. For a deep conditioning effect, wrap the hair with warm towel instead of shower cap. Also consider taking a  supplement AA plus with Biotin for a hair growth.
